Hi Crafty Bloggers

How are we all? off work for a week Whoop Whoop !!
so plan to get some crafty time in <3

I decorated a canvas board for a swap at Liza's Craft Shop .
Liza's Craft Shop
I first added some tissue paper with clear guesso for texture and then used a stencil with texture paste from Liza's Craft Shop Mixed media Kit . I then placed all my chipboard pieces , metal trinkets and pebbles on the board for composition . I take a picture for reference and then paint each individually with guesso then I use the photo to guide me where to place the embellishments with matt medium

I then use Lindy's stamp gang sprays in three colours in layers drying in between until happy with the colours . To blend I use a paper towel to mop up any areas/puddles and also add water to disperse any colour .

Lastly I paint the mullberry flowers with guesso and dip in fine glitter. I use Nuvo drops on the lettering and randomly on the embellishments .

I finish with Tim Holtz stickers .

Here is my swap partners canvas wow was so excited to receive mine from Liza and wow it's stunning and a its such a fun idea so that you can treasure another crafters handmade creation !!

I adore the colours picture just does not do it justice !!

I am inspired by the textures with the lace <3

Mixed Media Makes June/July

Crafty Bloggers

How are we all ?? It's been super hot here in Scotland with rain of course lol !! So been busy with life and cooling down lol .
First up is the last 3 cards for the #52CafeCards at

 W for Wings &  X for Kisses

For the wings I painted the butterfly with watercolours and used a permanent pen to outline. I used a die and stamp combo for the feathers . The kisses card I have used Hero Arts stamps and die and drew the lips
and coloured with watercolours again.

No automatic alt text available.

  Y for Yellow & Z for Zetangle

For the yellow card I have used some corrugated card and stamped images on the panels of watercolor paper with darkroom door stamps and some unbranded  stamps . I have used watercolours again and finished with a Tim Holtz sticker . Zetangle was my first try really need to concentrate for this but is so relaxing and fun to try out !!

No automatic alt text available.

So there are the 26 cards done looks lovely all together and I love to look at all the techniques I have tried and it's a great reminder of the learning curves too !!

Loving watercolors at the moment and tried these wonderful tutorials from Marta's YouTube channel had great fun and will make them into cards . It's a great way to get used to using them .

I adore this other video from Marta using Acrylic paints this time . I love love the little birdies more cards made <3 ..p.s I did cheat though I used a pen rather than black acrylic paint as did not have black for the silhouette .

This one was inspired by Jay Lee tutorials on Youtube and I added the doodles and was so pleased how it turned out

For the next 26  of the #52CafeCards I have decided to make them into cards this time instead of ATC's and we have inspirational boards which are amazing to inspire us

#1 MaremiWhisperBoard

I have used acrylic paints for the background and used stencils with gelatos for the circles . I have die cut the heart and stamped some butterflies and painted then with watercolours . I have added pen for shadows and some washi tape and random stamping .

#2 MaremiWhisperBoard

Here I used acrylics for the background using a make up sponge to blend . I then used a stencil with paste and then stamped over when dried. I cut the circles from some left over acrylic paint testing.... with a punch and die and I have hand drew the insect and coloured with watercolours . Lastly I have added a Tim Holtz sticker and nuvo drops .

Lastly another video trying out acrylic paints which is really quite new to me but thoroughly enjoyed playing with her tutorials !!

Used lots of stencils and stamps and make up sponge was my friend on this one .

I used the left overs for the opposite page with some stamping . Loved getting messy and using fingers to paint the flower vase .

Having so much fun learning and trying out these tutorials hoping I can evolve into my own ideas one day <3

Mixed Media Canvas - Liza's Craft Shop Design Team

Hi Crafty Bloggers

How are you today ??? I have been getting messy in the craft room <3
I have painted a rectangle shaped canvas .
First I added a layer of 13 arts guesso from Liza's Craft Shop Mixed Media box.
It is so lovely creamy and thick my favourite guesso so far !!
When dried I chose all my embellishments and laid them on the canvas to get an idea of how to build the composition . I have used chipboard, flowers, charms ,beads and light bulb from the shop and
used goodies from the Mixed Media Box.

Liza's Craft Shop

I have added a light coat of guesso to all the embellishments and used Gel medium to glue them to the canvas . I then used a stencil to the two adjacent corners with texture paste . I have used some thick cheesecloth from the heart to the clock and then added mini art stones /beads with soft gel on the embellishments to add some texture  and leave to dry . I just love the next part playing with Lindy's Sprays which I looooveee !! I have used Shabby Turbine Teal, Whale Watch Blue & Sidewalk Chalk . I let each layer dry and keep adding until happy and also mop up any puddles with kitchen roll. Lastly I have used some guesso and Decoart Metallic lustre to add some highlights. I cant help myself splashing some chalk pen when finished lol !!

Some more pics <3

I hope you are inspired to get crafty and check out the wonderful inspiration on Liza's Facebook page or treat yourself at her shop !!! The prices are awesome and from abroad too which can be hard to get and shipping is crazy priced whereas Liza takes care of all that for us !!

Mixed Media Make June Liza's Craft Shop Design Team

Hi Crafty Bloggers

How are we all ?? It's been raining non stop here all day so
perfect for getting messy in the craft room ;0)

I have decorated a wooden tag from Liza's Craft Shop <3

I have painted the two parts of the wooden tag on a craft mat with 13 arts guesso.

Once the paint is dry I use a stencil on the top half
with homemade texture paste .

I like to let the texture paste air dry for a couple of hours .
I then glue the two pieces together and also paint the back with guesso and leave to dry .

I then arrange some mulberry flowers and metal embellishments in the center . I manipulate the flowers to the shape I want with painting a light coating of guesso and also on the metal pieces. Lastly I add some prima pebbles in the gaps at the bottom and in the center of the metal piece. I use the fabritac glue again.

I have chosen 3 Lindy's stampgang sprays to colour .

I spray the lighter colour at the top and then the darker ones to the bottom. I spray several times until I like the colour .

Once dry I rub on decoart  Metallic Lustre around the edges and on the metal pieces, pebbles and stamens and use an old small paintbrush for areas to finish .

I then add some multi matt medium and
add some fine glitter around the pebbles.

I then decide to add some flatback pearls as I have a few small gaps.

Lastly I use black ink onto a chipboard sentiment and use for the top .

Liza has a new website coming very soon with just about everything I have used above  so please check out all the awesome mixed media goodies <3

I hope you are inspired to get crafty

Mixed Media Makes May

Hi Crafty Bloggers

I have been dabbling again this month with different mixed mediums and trying out new tutorials on youtube and getting inspiration from Maremi's Creative Cafe on facebook <3

First up the rest of the 52 Cafe Cards Challenge

O - Obsession  - currently is Mixed Media lol . I have used acrylic paint through a stencil on the background and then used the one stroke painting technique from Marta's video to make the heart and flowers .

P- Peace

I have stamped the tag and coloured with a spray . The feathers were another stamp on vellum and embossed with white . I have added some pearls glitter and a brad to finish .

Q - Quote

I have used a stencil with sprays for the background . I have stamped the quotes and used die cut leaves and finished with small mulberry roses .

R- Roses

Here I have painted a watercolour rose cut and put on some fabric and added some word stickers . I followed a tutorial from Jay Lee on youtube.

S- Spring

Here I have used watercolours again to paint the bluebells
and butterfly from an image idea on google pictures.

T - Teal

I have used cling film on spray and left for an hour and that made the background . I then sprayed some chipboard and flowers .

U - Unity  & V - Vintage

For Unity I used a die for the stacked tea cups and had used a stencil with dry brushing ink underneath . I used the residue from acrylic paints for the splatters and lastly word stickers .
For Vintage I use design papers  and used a stamp with embossing for the wooden background (in green) and added a frame and some die cut tags around the edge.

Had a go at my first face using the elegant marker and water brush . I need to measure the eyes much better next time but pleased with it for first try .

Moved on to trying a face on a journal page had first followed the water colour circle video by Marta then I drew the face and cut out and used lots of stamping and some spray and texture paste which I coloured around her ,

My next attempt was to try a tutorial by Toni Burt with painting the face onto the page this time with using tissue paper and acrylic paint on the page . Learned so much and will keep practicing as enjoyed this so much .

More water colouring with Marta's video with this butterfly
loved how it turned out !!

Lastly I tried the acrylic pouring technique for beginners  yet again another awesome tutorial from Marta !! My acrylic paints colours are limited so not the best colours but enjoyed seeing the result . Made such a mess too lol

Thank you for reading about my mixed media journey ;0)

The beautiful flowers are made from a rose die with flat back pearls in the middle . I have used  lace trim and added more pearls . The resin I have added guesso and some sprays and oxide inks to colour . The lace die, resin and pearls are all from The Trinket Parlour.  Lastly the sentiment sticker is from Tim Holtz .
